MSP 3000 Passive Mux Demux Filters Rack Modules
40 Channel DWDM Multiplexer Rack Modules
The MS419880 integrates 40 ITU-T compliant DWDM channels in an extremely compact form factor which requires only one 19” height unit (1U). It combines multiplexer and demultiplexer in one device. With its well-established DWDM technology, the passive optic multiplexer is capable of broadcasting up to eight independent optical transmission channels on one fiber optic line.
The device gives network operators under budget pressure a cost-efficient solution for constructing citywide optical networks. The DWDM Multiplexer serves as a passive construction element which both combines and separates fiber optic channels (Mux/DeMux). Optical coupling makes the work of the device fully transparent in terms of protocol. And the DWDM Multiplexer is under no limitations in terms of data transfer rate.
Users who do not wish to employ direct optical transmission technology can connect the device to their own transmission equipment (routers/switches/SDH/SAN switches): the device uses a transceiver with coloured lasers (SFPs/XFPs) to link directly with equipment of all different brands. To facilitate this, MICROSENS' product range includes a wide variety of CWDM transceivers for any data rate from 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps; they can also supply manufacturer-compatible transceivers if needed.

The new passive 8 Channel CWDM Multiplexer is designed as a plug-in module rounding off the lower end of the MSP 3000 Platform. A compact, active 8 channel CWDM 2U (rack units), the MS430501/3M, system providing data rates of up to 4G per channel can be realised when used in combination with the quadruple transponders (MS430584M).
An optional version (the MS430713) with an additional 1310 nm channel is available alongside the 8 channel CWDM standard version (20 nm grid, 1470 – 1610 nm) of the multiplexer, the MS430711. This additional channel – known as the “Express Channel” – is predominantly used for remote management applications.
Two 8 Channel Multiplexers can be combined to realise a 16 CWDM channel system. For this solution, the version MS430712 has an additional band filter, used for connecting the multiplexer MS430712-LB for the lower CWDM wavelengths (1310 – 1450 nm).
The CWDM multiplexer portfolio is rounded off by a version equipped with a monitoring port (MS430715) which can be used for measurement or monitoring purposes by coupling out 5 % of the total optical power (across all wavelengths).

With the increasing use of both fixed and mobile video and data, the demand for bandwidth out to every cell tower continues to rise. For metro transport, fiber scarcity is a major roadblock for network operators that need to expand the number of customers they can reach and the number and capacity of the services they can deliver.
MICROSENS Modular Multiplexer series of Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) solutions provide network operators with a way to selectively increase the utilization of their existing fiber plant up to 18 times to rapidly provision additional bandwidth and services at a fraction of the investment required to deploy new fiber. Whether rings, hub-and-spoke or point-to-point links; dark or lit fiber; dual or single fiber working, MICROSENS CWDM solutions enable network operators to eliminate fiber constraints, leverage existing fiber plant investments, and accelerate revenue generation.
The MICROSENS solution is based on a 1RU passive chassis which can hold a mix of various elements such as Multiplexers and Optical Add/Drop Multiplexers (OADMs). The optical Multiplexers modules support either 8 or 10 channel multiplexing schemes in a dual fiber configuration covering the S- and C-bands from 1270 nm to 1610 nm.
For single fiber configuration, the muxes support 8 paired channels. Both 8 and 10-channel Multiplexers come in Extended Temperature Range (ETR) versions so they can be deployed in environmental extremes from -40°C to +65°C. Monitoring ports are also available allowing operators to non-intrusively validate the performance of their network.

Getting the most out of your network is critical in today’s capital-constrained environment. Deploying dedicated fiber runs to every location is both impractical and expensive so reaching as many customers as possible from your existing fiber plant is critical to your success as a network operator. With MICROSENS’ line of low-cost Optical Add/Drop Multiplexers (OADMs), you can aggregate traffic from multiple locations and deploy service to any customer without disrupting existing traffic. MICROSENS provides a broad line of OADM solutions for any network environment and any channel count. Whether you need to add or drop a single wavelength or multiple wavelengths in only one direction or both east and west, or whether you have a dual fiber network or only single, MICROSENS has the solution for you.
With up to four OADM modules hosted in a single 1RU enclosure, we provide a high density, low cost platform in the least amount of space to minimize the impact on your operations and your bottom line.
The MICROSENS solution is based on a 1RU passive chassis which can hold a mix of various elements such as Optical Multiplexers and OADMs. The OADM modules support either 1-, 2-, 4- or 8 channel add/drop capability on dual fiber spans covering the S- and C-bands from 1271 nm to 1611 nm. For single fiber configuration, the OADMs support 1-, 2- or 4-channels of add/drop and can be uni- or bi-directional. OADMs can be one-degree adding and dropping traffic from a single side, or two-degree adding and dropping traffic in both the east and west directions. All OADMs are designed for operation in Extended Temperature Range (ETR) environments from -40°C to +65°C.

The MICROSENS ROADMs are low cost, highly scalable, extremely flexible 2 to 8 degree ROADM (Reconfigurable Optical Add Drop Multiplexers) modules. These modules allow optical networks to be built without the usually necessary rigorous planning required to determine at what sites wavelengths are to be dropped.
ROADMs allow for the dropping of any wavelengths in the optical spectrum at sites where they are installed. There are no limitations on the number of wavelengths or which wavelengths can be dropped as would be the case with traditional optical add drop multiplexers. In addition, these modules allow for the dynamic, software programmable, routing of wavelengths throughout complex optical networks. When these modules are utilized at optical route junctions, wavelengths can be routed from one optical route to another without the need to terminate and regenerate with transponders as would normally be the case.
Unlike most ROADMs, the ROADMs offered by MICROSENS utilize a cost-effective technology that dramatically lowers the cost of initially deploying ROADMs in your network but still allows you to scale to the same extent as more expensive ROADM solutions on the market. MS430303M and MS430304M can be inexpensively utilized to build a 2 degree ROADM and allow for incremental growth of up to 8 degrees.
The MS430303M is a 40 channel ROADM and the MS430304M is an 80 channel ROADM
