Extended Temperature Range SFP Optical Transceivers
The majority of all active network devices are now equipped with modular optical interfaces in the form of SFP ports. For the user this permits the highest possible flexibility in terms of network configuration. MICROSENS provides a special range of SFP transceivers with extended temperature range especially for the insertion into network devices intended for operation in rough environments. The temperature range for operation is from -40 to +85 °C.

A large part of today's active networking products is already equipped with slots for modular optical transceivers. This brings the highest possible flexibility for the network configuration to the user. Because of the special construction the installation can be done even during operation (hot swap).The new SFP-transceiver from MICROSENS allows a bidirectional optical transmission over one simplex single mode fibre. This is possible due to the use of two different wavelengths (WDM – Wavelength Division Multiplex) and the integration of a wavelength sensitive filter.
Optical Transceiver SFP
Many active network components, especially in the backbone area such as switches or routers, are equipped with slots for taking up the optical SFP transceivers. The customers reaches the highest flexibility in terms of network configuration using SFP transceivers. Their construction allows to install them during operation (hot swap).
MICROSENS offers a large range of SFPs for applications such as SONET/SDH, Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel. Beside multi-mode versions there are several single mode versions with different optical budgets available.
